We are just above the small capital of the “las Alpujarras”; ÓRGIVA, at the foot of the Sierra Nevada in the South of Spain, in Andalucia and in the province of Granada,

From Órgiva you drive via “Calle prof. Lora Tamayo”, direction Tijola (GR-4202) until you see the sign Cerro Negro, this is a narrow side road (carril) left on the mountain, this carril Cerro Negro you follow 3 km. on a boulder is indicated when you turn left again a slightly narrower path up to Proyecto ESTÁ (our house is called Cortijo Los Secanos)

Driving on this road can be a pleasant adventure, if you do it calmly, while enjoying wonderful views and beautiful nature. We recommend not to climb with sports cars because they have a very low body and could rub along the lane. No problem if you have an ordinary car. (best fun is to rent a 4×4)

To get to Orgiva, it is best to fly to Malaga and rent a car. From there you have a 2 hour journey through an excellent highway to Órgiva.

You can also get here by bus, www.alsa.es. There is one a day and we have to pick you up in the town because there is NO public transportation that brings you to “Proyecto Está”.
